THE KNIGHT HOUSE, DOYLESTOWN, PA

We were supposed to be having lunch at 99 Steaks (or whatever it's called). But they hadn't opened yet so we ended up at The Knight House in Doylestown Pa.
We've been there before, and like it each time, but today seem really spectacular.
We sat outside on the back patio and at once feels comfortable but classy. Our server Jean was prompt, courteous, and made just the right amount of connection with us.
Mr. It had the seafood bisque (HE LOVED IT) and Crab Cakes (again, love love love). I had the steak which was cooked with a mild yet kicky sauce. The fries were thin (not anorexic)(but not big girl size either)just the right size and tenderness.
The presentation was fabulous! Gordon Ramsey would have been proud.
Mr. It FORCED ME TO HAVE DESSERT.
I choose a Lemon Berry cake. So light. So moist. So creamy and perfect for summer. He picked a vanilla creme brulee. Oh, he would marry Ms. Brulee in a second...marry me though? I guess I'd have to be a 100% sweeter.
I really enjoy The Knight House, esp when we sit outside on the back deck.
I hope we find many more reasons to go there this summer!
Thanks Jean!

123Print.Com

I've been using another printer for my business cards but I wanted something new.
I searched the web and found www.123print.com.
One of the cards matched my website (who woulda thought?), so I took a chance and ordered.
Well.
My cards arrived faster than a Twitter update! And that's taking into account that Monday was a holiday.
And the cards look fantastic!
They are really really inexpensive (we are talking 9 dollars and some change including shipping)and well worth it.

Spring Valley Nurseries (ask for Tony!)

We had wanted a Dogwood tree and driving home from Doylestown, Pa one day, stopped by at Spring Valley Nurseries on route 202. It was our first visit.
We were going to get a quote and shop around.
Then we met Tony.
Tony has the patience of a saint. I asked a million questions and he had a million answers.
There was no hurry to buy, and certainly, no pressure from Tony. But when I shop and expierence helpful people who are kind and patient, I have no desire to "shop around", why would I?
If you need something to brighten up the yard, stop by at Spring Valley Nurseries and tell Tony we said hi!

Meghan - Blue Hair Studio

I've been all around at Blue. When my inital hairstylist left, I went to Frankie. Frank has a personality that's worthy of late show guest potential. Then Frank went on vacation and I went to Maren.

Maren had the flu and I went to Meghan. I was ready to take my long hair short and Meghan cut my long locks as I sat gripping the arm rests. She did an excellent job and I left feeling like a younger, cooler, version of me.

If there's one problem I have with Blue (and all hair studios should have this problem)...it's that I adore and trust all hair artists there. Then when I go to one artist I feel horribly guilty (damn Catholic upbringing) and like I'm cheating.

But see, that's the great thing about Blue, everyone there rocks and each has something in their personality that is clickable - and all have outrageous talent.

Also, they are open on Sunday's now and if you're looking for a relaxing day and a mimosa, book with Meghan on a Sunday~! (215) 947-2963

Ted's Montana Grill

I had just pulled into a parking space in front of Ted's Montana Grill...a sign on the restaurant said it was now open to the public...

A young waiter dressed in jeans and a white shirt (I later found out his name was Bobby) assured me the restaurant was open and I should REALLY REALLY think about eating there tonight because I'd be REALLY surprised.

I called The Wrath Man and suggested instead of P.F. Changs, we try out Ted's Montana Grill.

The Wrath Man and I sat at the bar and I immediately loved the dark wood and muted lighting. Upscale without the uppity. The staff was friendly and the food (all made on premises) was great.

At the end of our meal, the manager picked up our check and said it was "Customer Appreciation Night" and the meal was on the house.

Well, ever since then, we've been hooked. Not to mention it's next to Border's Books, Wegman's, and the movie theater.

And The Wrath Man LOVES the Bison Burger.

BORGHIS

Borghi’s Restaurant sits on the corner of Main St and 202 in Chalfont Pa. It’s majestic in size as the building was once a hotel dating back to the early 1900’s.To be honest, the bar area was so inviting, that MJ and I made a bee line for a bar stool to watch the rest of the Phillie’s game. The bar was empty on this Sunday night (Labor Day weekend), but laughter and loud voices swirled down from the second floor, where a party was in full swing.Though the wait staff was busy fetching orders from the party, they made us feel welcome and always checked back in on us to see if we were pleased with our drinks and our food. And “pleased” we were. MJ had the seafood special…shrimp with pasta in a white cream sauce and I had the prime rib a-top sliced browned potatoes in a spicy sauce. Both dinners were one of several evening specials. The Phillie’s lost, which was no surprise, but our experience at Borghi’s was a fantastic surprise! A Grand Slam!

Maren-Blue Hair Studio

It was a bad dye job (think circus pink) that sent me to a new hair studio. I found Blue over a year ago. I have never been 100% happy with any hair studio. I may have liked the stylist but the actual studio left me cold or feeling out of place. I may have loved the atmosphere but the stylist was too chatty or not chatty enough.Blue Hair studio meets all expectations. The owner, Will, set out to do something different and he succeeds on every level. It’s warm, it’s friendly, it’s unpretentious, yet it’s NOW, it’s new, it’s fun.Everyone who works at Bleu is genuine and talented.I’ve had the pleasure of trying on a few different stylists and while I have liked them all, Maren is my perfect fit. She understands what type of blonde I like to be (this is HUGE), she’s personable and so easy to get along with. I can’t say enough good things about Blue. If you’re looking for a great place, try Blue, if you’re looking for a great stylist, ask for Maren. Hair Stylists are such a personal thing, if you don’t feel the hit factor with Maren (I would have a hard time believing you wouldn’t) try a different stylist; they are all out of this world, otherwise they wouldn’t be working at Blue.

Sweet Blossoms (Bra shopping!)

A confection of a shop specializing in lingerie.Sweet Blossoms is far better than Victoria's Secret.
Why?
Personal attention and a huge selection of sizes, colors, and styles.Because customer service is a priority with me, I'll continue shopping at Sweet Blossoms, where the ladies who work there really know the importance of a great bra!
